Rookie Select Team Finalists in League “A” Championships

The Sarnia Braves Rookie Select Team were Finalists in the River League “A” Championships this past weekend.

They had a strong season with 14 wins against only 1 loss in league play and had a great final tournament in Alvinston coming up short 12-10 in an exciting final game vs. Dover Centre. The Team congratulates Dover Centre on their great season and their undefeated record.

It was not the colour medal the kids were hoping for yesterday, but getting to the Finals of the “A” Pool is a fantastic result. It was a great game between two good Teams that could have gone either way. The progress all the kids have made since the start of the Winter Indoor sessions has been phenomenal and they should all be very proud of their achievements this year. The three goals for the season were to have fun, make new friends and develop baseball skills, which they all achieved.

The whole Sarnia Braves organization is proud of the Rookie Select Team's accomplishments this year. Congratulations on a great season!
